'Possibility of peace' 100x70 (2 pieces) Paper, ink, water-based paints, markers. Diptych. The works were made based on images generated by the Midjourney artificial intelligence program using the prompt “possibility of peace”. Most of all I was intrigued by the errors in those results. The pigeons with three wings and unknown animals with feathers that for some reason were red etc. It seems to me that when you give Midjourney a simple 2-3 word prompt, it produces something very superficial, the kind of collective unconscious in which it was taught. I saw this process as an illustration of a situation where we just want “everything to be OK” and don’t want to pick sides. There are situations when trying to escape the responsibility of choosing and doing “good for everyone” turns into a disturbing nightmare.

Birch, 2022Craft paper, acrylic, 100 x 70 cm. In this project, I combined the vegetation of Israel with the flora of northern nature, which is more familiar to me. I am excited and fascinated by the local vegetation, but at the same time I am a little afraid of these plants, they are bright and beautiful, but very alien. I suspect each flower, is it not poisonous but is it possible to pick it up and bring home? Reflecting on the theme of the house, I realized that my nostalgia for the usual way of life extends to nature almost as much as to friends. I grew up in an atmosphere where it was customary to go trekking through the forests, and kayaking along the rivers. These moments of leaving the city for the forest are also part of me. I miss the smell of a pine forest, moss, blueberries, and ferns.
